Despair, Gundam Seed Destiny is getting an HD remaster

Relive the character derailments in HD.

It's been two years since I got the chance to experience the Gundam streamapalooza that was going on ANN, Youtube, Bandai's official Gundam page, and Crunchyroll. Thanks to this rare privilege, I was given the honor to watch all of Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam for the first time. And in order to see where I stand with the Cosmic Era, I also decided to watch the entirety of Gundam Seed Destiny.

While Destiny started off as a big improvement over Seed, the series ended up taking turn for the worst during the final parts of the story. And to this day, I still think that the character derailments and plot holes in the final half were the aftermath of executive meddling. But at least Banpresto did their best to fix Destiny's story in Super Robot Wars Z -- Suparobo!

So what does all of this have to do with today's post? Well, it turns out that an HD remaster of Gundam Seed Destiny was announced after the HD remaster of Gundam Seed came to an end. On a slightly positive note, it will give fans of the Cosmic Era the opportunity to see the series in HD before it releases on Blu-ray.

Despite my dislike over the series, is their anyone that's looking forward to reliving Destiny in HD?
