Dig in: Tokyo Game Show to serve a special kind of ramen

There is a good reason why this ramen is considered to be special, and that is because it holds a good amount of ingredients that will make any normal person cower in fear. As for myself, I am quite intrigued, since there are times when weird combinations can result in amazing delicacies.

Going by the name of Amane's Special Curry Ramen with a Touch of Soy Milk, this revolutionary meal is made up of curry ramen mixed with a touch of soy milk, an entire banana, an entire cucumber, cherry tomatoes, gummies, barbecued pork, fish paste, marshmallows, chestnuts, raw salmon, corn, chocolate sauce, green soy beans, a special secret ingredient, and whip cream with sprinkles on top -- bon appetit.

To be honest, there is a chance that the ingredients might blend well, since there have been cases where chocolate does make a good spice for most meats. Taking into account that other foods such as pizza have benefited from having pineapples, bananas, and mango as toppings, there is a chance that the bananas might help the ramen's flavor. However, the fate of your taste buds will be determined by the secret ingredient.

As for TGS's reasoning behind the appeance of this dish, it turns out that it was a ramen that was featured in the Dream Club games, which is being used to promote the next game for the PS3. Besides the ramen being a promotional meal, anyone that orders Amane's Special Ramen will be rewarded with a special button.

You can expect Destructoid's Editor-in-Chief and foodie Dale North to take a shot at the special ramen, along with the slight chance of Japanator Editor Elliot Gay joining in as well. Until the promised day arrives, you can take a look at the images of Amane's Special Ramen in the section after the jump.

Curry Refills at Coco Ichibanya in Japan

After reading a recent article about getting free refills of curry sauce, I had my doubts. I completely trusted in the news, do not get me wrong, but it seemed too good to be true. There had to be some catch. I mean, seriously, we are talking about getting free curry sauce here. Join me as head into my local Coco Ichibanya in rural Japan and try to ask for a second helping of their fine sauce.

These are Japan's favorite snacks

Japanese snacks are great. And it looks like even the Japanese know that, too. Or at least, just under a thousand of them do. According to a poll of 906 people, Glorious Nippon prizes five snacks above all others. Because all it takes to count the millions that live there is 906 people, right? Check out the five Japanese snacks to rule them all below. Will Pocky be among them?!
