Dir En Grey and Apocalyptica? Do they try to make a double rainbow of ridiculous bands? I was literally falling of my chair I laughed so hard.
no texas dates.=( i should have seen them a year or two ago when they came to my little city. but i didn't want to see korn again.
It's like Marilyn Manson threw up on Japan, and they mad e a band out of it. I'll pass this can be nothing short of horrific!
are you sure that's them up there? they look so much more goth/rave here, and so much more metalcore on their page..

That is a part of a past that Dir en grey does not like to remember, but fangirls love.
On the other hand, I'm excited for this tour! eeee :D

Before anyone gets thrown off track, the header picture is actually of the band from their Visual-Kei days, which was like back mid 1990ish, lol. They actually look a lot more "normal" these days.
I loved their Withering to Death album they released about two years ago, people should really check out songs like -saku-, kodou, and the final. Older songs like "Kasumi" and "Drain Away" are some of my favorite on my ipod. I wasn't really impressed with their latest album though. They're still amazing to watch live though. I might consider seeing them again, since they're performing at the Nokia Theater in LA rather than the Wiltern (I really hate the Wiltern).

YES! I am there! I've been waiting for news about a US tour, especially with their touring in Europe. AND Apocalyptica? God, I love living in LA.
Symphonic metal is indeed a category of metal. Many bands take different paths with the sound and some Japanese bands even do variants on it such as Blood Stain Child and Sigh.

Seriously? You had to use a photo of them that's around twelve years old? Dir en grey has dropped the Visual Kei tranny look years ago, please update with a photo that isn't ancient, thank you.
Yup I'm going in San Fran, been wanting to see them since Gauze. I could care less what they look like now or what they are playing, all I know is that I had a serious fangasm while buying the tickets. This show will be made of awesome.
