Doug Walker and James Rolfe an anime?

Angry anime nerd?

Around the same time I really got into watching anime, I was introduced to James Rolfe's Angry Video Game Nerd series. I'm a sucker for some good old toilet humour and terrible video games, so even now I regularly frequent Cinemassacre to see what's going on. I don't think anyone would have thought that the Nerd himself would wind up in episode five of Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited, and alongside The Nostalgia Critic no less.

As shocking as an out-of-the-blue cameo is, what's stranger is that this is coming from Japanese studios. It's not that they are aware of both of these Western Internet folk, but that they must have been big enough fans to go through the trouble of putting them in.

Perhaps those of you who are living in Japan can shed some light onto their popularity in the East, but regardless it's pretty darn cool. What's next, Doctor Who showing up in Naruto?
