You know how a candidate's history can come back to bite them in the ass? Well, in the case of Meiko Tanaka, she already made it into office when it was revealed that she had a bit of a wild side, having starred in a 2001 horror film where she appeared topless and in a "trance-like state."

Seriously, how can Japan elect these people? This is why no one pays attention to their government: they elect the most debauched people in the world to their government.

The girl did confess to the DPJ beforehand that she had been a reporter in a porn magazine (writing articles, not dressing up as one.) Yet they still ran her, actually as one of the "Ozawa girls," those hand-picked to run against older LDP candidates.

I can't take Japan seriously anymore. How could they betray their integrity by electing her?
