Dragon Ball film tops PSN charts -- wait, what?

Dragon Ball film tops PSN charts -- wait, what? photo

Over the weekend, ICv2 picked up the news that the live action film Dragon Ball: Evolution has been at the top of the PSN charts for the last two weeks, since it hit the service back in July. So, that means that people are actually going and willingly downloading the film despite conventional wisdom.

So, that means one of two things: either people are getting really drunk and playing fast-and-loose with their money, and ordering Dragon Ball: Evolution "for the lulz," or there are just so few people using the PSN's download service that DBE could manage to stay on top with relatively few purchasers.

It's probably the latter, knowing the mentality of drunk college kids.

I guess it's one of those titles that are so bad they're worth owning? I never quite saw it that way, but I guess I'm the odd man out on this one. Would any of you actually admit to owning a copy of Dragon Ball: Evolution? I don't think I could stomach throwing down money on that -- although I'll be doing it for G.I. Joe, so I make no defenses on the quality of my taste. Maybe it's a treasure, and I just don't realize it.
