Not only has some of the major casting been announced, but IGN also brings us word that the film has a tentative release date of August 15th, 2008. Fox is trying to get this out quickly, it sure seems. I guess they want to cap on all the hype around it at the moment. I mean, when God Len is going to buy tickets for everyone who reads Japanator, how can you not get it out as quickly as possible?

I'm looking forward to watching the film, despite CTZ being Mr. Negative McDrunkypants about the whole thing. Sure, it's likely to be bad, but why not enjoy yourself?

God Len buying tickets for Jtor readers would be epic win even if the movie does turn out to be a horrible horrible movie.
 


my assumption is that an hour of this movie is just special effects, and they decided they'd ad actors faces in later. so theres a lot of blurs and explosions and weird glowy half spheres bulging off of the earth camera shots.

I mean, really, how much of this film is going to be plot?

I can just imagine that less than an hour of the first showing of it in any theater there will posted online the exact number of minutes/seconds spent charging attacks.

Even though I feel like this would take alot of help to not fail, I know I'll end up watching it anyway. Who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised?

Even additional pylons won't be able make this film epic FTW.

Vespene gas might actually work if the movie doesn't activate a trap card.
 


You know what? I'm calling BS on this, right now, there's too many inconsistancies with the information we're being given here, and after the "halo DS" thing, I'm very skeptical of IGN.



Plus, you know, this rumor's been around since before the internet.
