It looks like someone gathered all the dragons balls together, because this film is back from the depths of preproduction hell. However,  I did not expect the Montreal Gazette to be the one to break the news. 20th Century Fox in Montreal will film this movie with a budget of at least $100 million dollars (over 9000 of course) this fall and winter. Dragon Ball Z will be filmed along with two other films in Montreal’s Fox studios, and hopefully will not become accidentally intertwined; because everybody knows Ben Stiller likes to wander. According to the Gazette this anime is about:

“Dragonball Z is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys.” (radical!)
