Despite the lack of online multiplayer for the 3DS version of the game, I'm still really looking forward to E.X. Troopers. These new screens from Capcom that put the coop on display certainly haven't let me down, showcasing the bright, colorful and striking aesthetic design of the game world. What E.X. Troopers lacks in graphical details it more than makes up in style.

These screenshots come from the game's VR Mode where you'll be able to join up with friends to undergo normal missions or fight against giant monsters together. This isn't limited to real players either; you can bring in AI characters to help you out as well, which matches what we've heard about the single player campaign. It remains to be seen if coop is limited to this mode, but I would hope not. As we confirmed a week back, multiplayer will be conducted via the internet on the PS3 and locally for the 3DS.
