Talk about a small source of material to use for a movie, considering that the Eitoranger movie is going to be based off a series of skits performed by Kanjani8. Best of all, Kanjani8 are going to star in the movie, which will most likely have them reprise the roles of their alter egos in the film.
Director Tsutsumi Yukihiko (20th Century Boys) will be in charge of directing this new film, and the filming is going to start on March 6. While the Eitoranger segments were meant to be silly, the movie is going to take a more dramatic route with the premise.
The Eitoranger film plans to take us into a city filled with terrorism during the year of 2035, and we will also get to see each character get fleshed out during the story. If Kanjani8 are going to be the Eitorangers in the film, then we might see them bring back some of the elements that made their segments worthwhile.
The movie is scheduled to come out in Japanese theaters around July 28, and you can expect to see Tachi Hiroshi appear in the film as a character known as Captain Silver (Most likely, he will be the hero that will help the Eitorangers reach their true potential as a team.).
