So the votes are all tallied, and 271 total character received votes from 63 people participating. There were a couple things I found interesting but maybe you all didn't.

[BGFUSAB has solicited the community in trying to develop Japanator's own top 25 anime characters list, and we want to help him out. Check out what he has planned down below, and be sure to cast your votes! I want to see what you guys have up your sleeves! So Colette posted about IGN's most popular anime character list. It generated some discussion and then there were some suggestions for a Japanator list, which got me thinking: It would be all well and good for the Japanator staff to make a top 25 list a la IGN, but even better for the staff and the people using the site to make a top 25 list of the best anime characters.

I figured it could work similar to the AP Coaches poll in college football. You all submit your own top 10 lists. First place gets 10 points, 10th place gets 1 point. Take all the lists, plug the point values into an excel sheet and see what comes out. I'm going to regret saying this but, if you all want to post your top 25 lists as replies, I'll compile the excel sheet and put the results in a new post.

I'm not going to know all of the character names so if you want to put their series next to them that would be cool. It's up to you all if you want to go off running with this, but I think it would be interesting.
