I'm sure Miyazaki city is a nice place. Their tourism page shows off a bunch of shrines, great-looking beach scenery, and interesting restaurants. I know that the recession has hit tourism hard as people elect to stay home, but did Phoenix Segaia resort really need to destroy my impressions of a hamburger just to attract tourists?!

Just look at that thing! According to Japan Probe it weighs 300 pounds and broke the record for world's largest hamburger, which makes me throw up a little in my mouth. I mean, I like a good burger as much as the next guy, but past a certain threshold of size and price, all burgers start to taste the same, and this abomination is WAY past that. The bread is pure black! Watching the video at low resolution made me think at first that it was just a stack of patties.
