Yeah, I know. Some might consider the statement “so awesome that it must be illegal” to be pretty bold, no matter how good it is, but any music video with an Eva Airman must be labeled as so. But let me cut straight to the chase: this video is a music video about our favorite blue-armored super hero, Mega Man. However, this video does not feel like a music video, but more like an extended anime opening.
Not only does it parody openings in general, but other anime and Japanese culture as a whole. People with a keen eye will notice a Happa-tai Mega Man performing the "Yatta!" dance, or Gendo Dr. Wily. If I was Mega Man (after taking over the world and forming my own army of sex slaves), I would be honored to receive such a gift for my birthday.
There were so many crazy references...including: Eva, the pause glitch, Hare Hare Yukai, the Leaf Shield, Flipping (a la Super Paper Mario), among others. I really love the video...
...even if I haven't played that many Mega Man games. I'm going to pick up the Mega Man Anniversary Collection and the Mega Man X Collection soon to fill in the gaps. If you are in a similar situation to me I suggest you do the same.
holy crap.
that video is the king of orgasms.
Gotta love the video but the original's music video is still more awesome

Is that music from Gurren Lagann... It sounds so familer, I can't place it.
Hmmm, sounds like the Mai-Otome ending song to me. Anyone else agree?
That was awesome for a fan video. Great guitar piece.
And to add onto what Variable Gear said, if you consider yourself a fan of Mega Man or old-school side-scrollers and have a GBA/DS, do yourself a favor and track down the Mega Man Zero titles. They're the best the series has offered since MMX1, and are great (among the best Mega Man games). I need to get the ZX games, myself....
This video is definitely COOL! I wish I could read and understand Japanese so I could understand better what's going on. So, my sincere congrats to all video game geeks and especially for the 8-bit fans. Think I'm gonna make a huge PS party soon! Sexy geeks are welcomed :D
