In case you have forgotten, ADV UK has been in a lot of trouble recently. They had to put several of their DVD releases on hiatus, pretty much halting their UK production. Meaning no more special features pertaining to soccer, fish’n chips, and Excalibur for our red-coated friends. Now we have some breaking news: the CEO of ADV, John Ledford, knows why this tragedy has taken place, and I’ll let him tell you himself. This is quoted from the British anime magazine NEO:
“Perhaps if so many fans weren't getting their anime from illegal file sharing sites or unlicensed streaming sites, we might have expanded our UK catalogue more quickly. As it stands now, however, we have a better shot at growing our business with Lace than maintaining an overseas branch.”
So, John is saying that the people who are at fault are the ones that he wants as customers. Let me give you a pro tip, buddy. Insulting your customers will not make them give you their money any faster, because we are always right. Here is my message to you, ADV:
"Perhaps if so many ADVs weren’t shutting up or stop crying, they might have figured out better ways to expand their licenses in a changing market."
