I have some good news for all of you, perhaps you can call it an early “Holiday” present (government snipers keep me from saying Christmas). The first present is the release date of this new Fullmetal Alchemist will be sometime in April of 2009. The second present is a super teaserific trailer of this new series, which was shown after the 10th episode of Gundam 00 (you know the shows with the Trans Ams). It doesn’t give us much, but a taste of hope, a taste of the future, and a taste of some more Al in our lives.
We are promised more information about this upcoming new series in the Shounen Gangan Magazine which is to be released on December 12. Wait, that’s like in five days! Well be sure to tune in then to Japanator for more information.
Fullmetal Alchemist? Really? And here I thought finally I'd have a convention year with less than 50,000 fangirls shrieking in my ears...so much for that dream.
it's most likely gonna be a remake close to the manga like Hellsing Ultimate (which was A LOT better than the orignal hellsing lol) but i feel it wont be a big improvement as a remake and probably not worth much ppls times unless they're just epic FMA fans...
A series you say? I thought it was just going to be another movie! This is exciting. I've been watching FMA again recently to refresh my memory of the story. Good news, good news indeed.
the only problem is whether or not I should start reading the manga (something that I've been meaning to do for quite awhile now) or wait and watch this
I can see WHY they'd do a remake... but I was still hoping for a sequel instead of the same shit all over again. Oh well, maybe they'll try to cover every volume up till now with this show, you never know. If not I might as well start reading the manga.
Ah, finally they killed that freakish-weird old face of the anime-Edward. I love the manga and felt like jumping off a cliff after the huge disappointment of an anime.
@Gatoh:
Really? He looks the same to me...
But watching it again I see he looks a lot younger at the beginning and older at the end, but that should be a given because he's 12 at the start and at the end he's 17/18
