Title says it all. Like nervous school girls we giggled and told rumors. "Watch out, Sunrise might make a live action movie of Cowboy Bebop," and "Lock the door, Keanu Reeves might get tapped for Spike." In truth, we laughed to hide our fears...
Sunrise, in conjunction with 20th Century Fox, offically anounced today that they would be making a live action Cowboy Bebop film. While still in the scripting phase, several key players have been announced, like producer Erwin Stoff (Scanner Darkly, The Lake House, Constantine) and...you guessed it, Keanu Reeves. While fear cripples me at the prospect of what's to come, I'll admit really, really liking Scanner Darkly. In hindsight, that movie was awesome and had Keanu Reeves in it. Here's hoping Stoff strikes gold twice.
I also liked Reeves in Branagh's Much Ado About Nothing, but for all the wrong reasons.
