Hey, what can I say? I love them Blu-Rays. So, bear with me as I report this news, since it'll mean all this stuff will be trickling down to the US market before not too long.
So the news about Neon Genesis Evangelion 1.0: You Are Not Alone comes from good ol' ANN. On May 27th, Japan is getting a 1.11 edition of the film on Blu-Ray and DVD, which will include a bunch of new cuts along with a digital mastering. As you know, FUNi will be releasing it here, and most likely will follow suit and release the Blu-Ray version here. I can't see why they wouldn't.
Oh, and Eva 2.0 is coming out June 27th.
Also, for all you Saber fans, you can finally watch her in HD. The series is coming out on Blu-Ray April 24th, for a measly 29,000 yen or so if you grab it off Amazon. So, hope that FUNi decides to take the same route with Fate/Stay Night as it probably will with Eva 1.11. For me, at least, I'll check out the series once it's on Blu-Ray.
What else is on your wishlist for Blu-Ray?
RIN TOHSAKA IN GLORIFIED 1080P?!?!?
PROOF THAT GOD EXISTS AND HAS GOOD TASTE?!?!?!
I came.
The only other thing I could ever ask on bluray is Kara no Kyoukai. The detail in those movies practically screams for a HD release....I mean hell, the detail in those exceeds most of Makoto Shinkai's work...
