FUNimation streaming Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
by Rio McCarthy, 04/09/2009

FUNimation has officially acquired the rights for digital, broadcast, DVD and merchandising for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood to be represented in North America. Starting today FUNimation will be streaming episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood with their original Japanese dub with English subtitles. In fact, you can go watch the first episode right now on the official Fullmetal Alchemist website.

I'm excited by what I've seen so far and will definitely be keeping up with the episodes online. They are set to keep up with subtitling each episode just days after the original episode airs in Japan. The episodes are in high quality though a couple of seiyuu have been changed upon this new series including the voice of Roy Mustang, Winry Rockbell and Riza Hawkeye.

Just hearing the opening theme song start up was enough to give me chills, so I can't wait to check out the rest of the episode and see how this second series pans out. I'll be curious to see just how close to the manga the series really sticks on down the road, but I think we're on a good stretch so far.
