Rumiko Takahashi's new project, Rin-ne, is finally live photo

The big leadup to Rumiko Takahashi's next series has finally come to an end, what with her latest series, Kyoukai no Rin-ne (Rin-ne for short) debuting online for audiences around the world. You can go ahead and check out the manga here, if you'd like. And I know you will.

Like some of my compatriots have mentioned, the series does invoke images of Bleach. Shinigami are certainly nothing new in the world of manga, but even with the introduction of Rokudo, it immediately calls up images of Renji -- even down to the red hair.

I didn't expect much to be introduced in this chapter, but from what I have learned, the plot seems like it's got a heavy flavor-of-the-week type of adventure -- I guess we'll have to see how Rokudo deals with issues later on in the chapters, because as of right now, he solves them by throwing a flaming wheel at them. Not much challenge there.

Kinda hard to do a review of a single chapter, so I'll just leave it to an open discussion. What did you think of the chapter, readers?
