Ok, since no one else seems to have the guts to say it, I will. Eva Unit 05 is ugly as sin. Green? sure. Wheels? well it sorta worked for the Guntank so ok. But Green, quadruped, and not even really a quadruped because they're wheel leg hybrids? What the hell... Some of the most ridiculous SRW robots look less retarded than that.

As for Makinami, ok... she seems like she could be cool. Hopefully she'll be less of a jerk than Asuka...unless they actually revamped Asuka, gave her a dere-dere side, and cut back a bit from her constant Louise level tsun-tsun.

I'm with you. EVA-05 truly is an abomination of a mech.

As for Gendou showing his emotions, this could actually be really interesting. After all, Gendou was originally a reflection of Anno's appearance and state of mind, and as far as I know Anno's not the same person he was 14 years ago. Not to say this one image confirms Gendou's personality has been altered for the better, but I wouldn't put it past Anno. Can't say it showed in Rebuild 1.0 though.

Mari (Mary, possibly?) looks nice. And since we know her personality won't coincide with Asuka and Rei's (golden rule of EVA #1: No two characters can ever be the same), she might actually be a very nice person to boot. That is, if we could just forget about golden rule of EVA #2: All characters have at least one huge weakness or flaw with their personality, all of which are horribly exposed before the end of the series.

I like that they didn't just make EVA-05 the same with a different paintjob! I can't wait to see that monstrocity in action! Evageeks has an image in her plugsuit which also happens to be drastically different! Can not wait!!

@PBz0r: Who knows, her flaw might just be that she's a little bit clumsy... or that she's actually nice to Shinji... (hey, some people might consider that a flaw, lol)
