How would you feel if you wrote this amazing novel and woke up the next day to find out that your favorite mangaka had drawn the cover for you? Even though Sarah Rees Brennan isn't much of a manga fan, even she was extremely ecstatic to find out that someone like Hiromu Arakawa drew the cover to her novel for the Japan release. The funny thing is, she didn't have any idea that Arakawa was going to draw the cover until the day she posted about it on her blog.
If you're a person who writes fanfic and takes it seriously, then you can have your dreams come true in being able to publish your own work someday. The reason why I say that is because Brennan became popular from her Harry Potter fanfics when she was under the penname "Maya." Now she has a deal to create three books in English, which The Demon's Lexicon being one. The Demon's Lexicon is a dark fantasy story that takes place in modern-day England, where there is only magic and demons. I've never read this book but according to Brennan, the cover done by Arakawa has such accurate detail to her story that she is extremely pleased and in awe from it.
