Ach, I forgot: one time at a high-school church camp thing, I was reading the first Ranma volume in my bunk. A guy happened by, spotted Akane's boobs in a bath scene, and said, "Geez, that's appropriate." I said that it was not only not sexual, I'd rather have my kids read it than watch primetime TV, and showed off the funny parts to prove its non-trashiness.
I later found out they still dumped on me behind my back about bringing porn to camp ZOMG. Cockburgers.

The DS is far smaller and less prone to funny looks than manga, so that's what I take with me when I'll be at the DMV (the one that issues licenses, not ours).

It was a slightly frustrating but enriching experience, because she would not come apart. I got video, but it's jerky as all hell, plus I keep guffawing like some kind o' moron behind the camera. :o
The headband experiment makes me nervous. :/ I mean, shooting Naruto merch is fantastic (though custom-made seems like a waste), but copycats copy things, and ninja head-bullets...? My faith in humanity, it's too low this early in the morning, precious.
OH AND I FORGOT TO MENTION that I offered to donate my entire Inuyasha action-figure set (like 8 of them) to be burned at the stake.

What I tried to say was, [HEARTS in the unaccepted accidental HTML sense] for providing fodder for a fun and easy feature. Took me about five hours, mostly because I kept thinking of AMVs or other clips I'd seen at cons and stopping to rewatch 'em.

That and watching AMVs with a big ol' group. There's nothing like the pure comraderie and/or horniness of otaku in massive quantities around filthy and/or delightful material like that--who else would appreciate it? :D

Well, that's the thing: it was as trashy as trashy tabloid fodder got. But the Japanese press take their reputations pretty seriously, so the column being around this long to tell us stories about bizarre sexploits around the country just indicated how many people read it. :3
