@McTool, I haven't read or watched Midori Days, so yeah, I understand it's a parody, but the story itself is still really ridiculous, which all we want is for our readers to laugh.
- On Go watch the Durarara!! anime trailer right now at 11/18 10:08pm
I am always interested in anything from the CREATOR OF BACCANO!
Right now it's about the only thing I'm looking forward to next season.
- On Why Naruto should be over at 11/14 10:58pm
I am Ben Huber, and I support this message.

Did some say reloading?
- On Want to try the new Ace Attorney Demo? Here's your chance at 11/13 12:34pm
Let me tell you, Ace Attorney is freaking amazing. Maybe my favorite game series on DS.
- On It's illegal to be fat in Japan at 11/12 3:37pm
Not enough copies of Wii Fit out there, I guess. GET ON THE TREADMILL, KAGAMI.

LET'S DOOO IIIITT
- On The Best Thing Ever: Yotsuba&! at 11/11 3:36pm
You hit the nail on the head. Yotsuba, in my mind, really is one of the best things ever, just because it reminds us of that simplistic, child-like view on life.
RECOMMENDABLE!
- On Proof that Japan doesn't always have better box art at 11/10 08:26am
Yeah, I'm sure the intent was to evoke a similar feel as say, the Indiana Jones covers, but the execution just fell flat on it's face.
- On How (not) to draw Asian women at 11/09 9:05pm
People always debate over what is art and what isn't. No debate here: fail all around.
- On 4 minutes of Ghibli goodness in Ninokuni trailer at 11/05 7:12pm
The worst part is there's no confirmed US release, no publisher or anything. Nintendo of America has published past Level-5 games though, like Professor Layton, so one can hope.

The sparkles and stars exploding out from behind the pope made me nearly fall out of my chair.
- On Releases of the week - 11/03/2009 at 11/03 4:39pm
D. Gray-man and Claymore for me. Hopefully they can keep up their steam, as they've been fairly (a few missteps like any story) good so far.
- On Want to write about anime? at 11/03 00:13am
Typed up and sent. I lurked on here for a long time before finally coming out with my Baccano poster and the SZS stuff. I've been writing forever (as much as drawing) -- my other choice of a major was journalism. So hey, I'll toss my hat in the ring. Experience is always good.
- On The Best Thing Ever - 20th Century Boys at 11/02 9:25pm
Naoki Urasawa is like a god to me (among many artists I revere). But aside from his great art, he also happens to be a phenomenal storyteller. Such a great story, and everything he touches seems to turn to gold (Monster, Pluto, etc).
Great write-up. :D
- On What Manga's Been Up To: Santa is a sh*thead at 10/29 6:10pm
The Yotsuba rewrites always make my day. :)
- On Please License Bakemonogatari at 10/29 6:07pm
Is this an indirect way of suggesting that I should make my next art project Bakemonogatari? What's with all these SHAFT anime shows grabbing my attention?
Actually, I really enjoyed Bakemonogatari, would totally buy it day one when it comes out, Blu-ray or dvd. But preferably Blu-ray.
- On How about Japanator's own list of the 25 greatest anime characters? at 10/29 3:15pm
Sounds awesome. I'm sure our list would be a million times better than IGNs... which was laughable. :P
My top ten?
1. Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop)
2. L (Death Note)
3. Kamina (Gurren Lagann)
4. Ashitaka (Princess Mononoke)
5. Noriko Takaya (Gunbustaaaaa)
6. Dr. Kenzo Tenma (Monster)
7. Light Yagami (Death Note)
8. Yotsuba (Yostuba better be allowed. OR ELSE.)
9. Itoshiki Nozomu (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei)
10. Ladd Russo (Baccano!)
Damn, it's hard to pick. I'm sure if I came back tomorrow and checked this list, I'd wanna change it. And the day after that. Plus I'm still not sure about order. But that's off the top of my head. :P
- On Windows 7's OS-tan clearly wants to bankrupt me at 10/24 4:37pm
I just installed the theme to try it out. It makes cute little noises with everything you do. Minimize a window? "Pin-po!" Start a program? "Ta-da!" Fun at first, but then I played Left 4 Dead, and after getting pounced by a hunter I heard, "Ta-da!" So it gets a bit annoying eventually.
Pretty cool to see an officially sanctioned OS-tan though. My favorite is maximizing a window: "Piroring!"
- On Your Lego skills can't hold a candle to this guy's Lego Pop-Up book at 10/21 6:01pm
Best thing I've seen all day. :O
