  I've read his book and its rather good. There are a lot of insights into what its like being a newspaper reporter working the police beat. Great read. Highly recommended.

  First off, let me say that both Karen and lyfeforce wrote two excellent articles.
  
  And now I'll throw my two cents in.
  
  When I watched the ending to the first season of Haruhi, I got the exact same feeling that I got when I saw the very first season finale of "Dawson's Creek."
  
  "Dawson's" first season finale also ended with a kiss. When I first saw that ending, my first thought was that this story wrapped up nicely and that there was no reason to continue the story with a second season.
  
  Seeing Kyon kiss Haurhi elicited the very same reaction. It didn't give me closure, but it made me happy. I liked the way the show wrapped up and I didn't need to see more of it's universe.
