You've got it a bit backwards ;) You don't insert that anywhere, you insert something else there :P
- On Anime Central 2009 FUNimation industry panel at 05/10 1:28pm
So far FUNi has their VOD offerings on Comcast either by the FUNi branded category or the Anime Selects category, the problem...almost every show under the FUNi side of things is SVOD, where-as if it does show up in the Anime Selects, it's free.
First ep is free on the FUNi category, every following ep is, I believe, $0.99. Something I'm not keen on doing at the moment until I lock down Comcast's release strategy in terms of how long between ep bundles...if it is anything like ADV has had with their category, it'll be months....

I should also note, you cannot buy *any* of IllSoft's works in any brick and mortar store in the States (unless it's some small import shop). It's not bound by the ESRB, and is not even English translated.

If memory serves, like I originally stated, this was all over a fandangle that someone was reselling their copy (which if I also remember correctly, was a pirated version) of Rapelay on Amazon marketplace.
It was hence removed, not so sure because of it's questionable content, but because of it not being a legitimate copy.
In swoops the hell-bent politicians looking for the Soccer-mom support and you get what we got here.

Sensationalist political posturing, at least everyone has a great example of it.
Take ambitious member of congress/political seat, give them adult-oriented games, and then give them a microphone.
Luckily everyone with even a half a braincell is laughing their asses off at this woman and her 'crusade'. After-all, how much work is involved in banning a game that isn't even sold in our entire continent on any store shelves?
A guy tried reselling his more-than-likely-bootlegged pirated version of Rapelay on Amazon Marketplace, whoopity doo. So now we have another outspoken idiot trying to crusade against games to protect the kiddies.
I weep for New York City...and honestly, everyone else who follows the same mentality of that woman.

Quality is in the eyes of the beholder ;)
- On 1/4 Konokoe Rin from FREEing gives you a loli in a box at 02/03 5:04pm
I *would* buy it to add to my collection...
Now let me get this out of the way..I'm not a loli-lover by any means, but I know a quality figure when I see it and that is a quality figure.
And Baylon, the reason for the angle pics for most people is to show the degree of quality of the figurine, not-so-much the ability to 'see the goods'. Of course, that does happen...but the respectable folks know what to look for ;)

So I'll go with Yomi.
- On Hulu gets some sweet FUNimation titles at 11/08/2008 5:50pm
@byrc
Predominately english-speaking folks generally like to watch their TV in the same language, hence the dubbing.
FUNi has stated that if the market demands it (see: not hardcore fanboys), they will have more sub-only streams.

- On It's a lazy Sunday, so let's give away some manga at 10/19/2008 10:51am
oops, meant to add...at least it's getting better somewhat, I'm not spending $200 for gas every other week.
- On It's a lazy Sunday, so let's give away some manga at 10/19/2008 10:50am
Well...I hate being poor...having no money to do much of anything sans paying bills is really starting to get to my family and myself.
It would appear to me that no matter how much we work, how much we get paid, we still don't have enough to do anything but buy gas to get to and from work, and eat after paying the bills.
My beloved luxury items aren't being consumed and I desire them, I desire them so much.

- On Those who watch fansubs in America are now 'effed' in the 'A', thanks to a new law at 10/14/2008 11:27pm
Simply put, this is just written scare tactics. Much like those neat little books you see with the title "Crazy, Funny, Stupid Laws". Having it on the books just gives them something to tack onto gross offenders to get a point across. If, somehow, they figure a way to enact this as an enforceable action, then you all might have some room to complain.
As for the "Bush hasn't veto'ed" comments, you may wish to check again...if anything, Congress is still to blame for this and lobbying with tacked on 'amendments' so that this bill will also coincide with two other bills that regulate oil use or some crap like that.
For anyone who really cares, the President is nothing more than a public figure head, no different than, say, the Queen of England. The power doesn't lie with them, it lies within the body of the House and Congress. These people are the ones you need to point fingers at when you don't like shit that pops up.
- On Hulu adds anime channel, subbed Death Note and Naruto at 09/24/2008 00:25am
@vampireblood
You are aware that Hulu is funded by most of the major US networks and that's why they have it IP locked for US audiences only, right? And you cannot compare Hulu to Youtube, two totally different ballparks...one is a licensed stream service, the other is a user-content controlled service.
It's not as if they are plotting to keep everyone from it, it's simply licensing control being put into effect. Nothing more, nothing less.
As for their anime collection, again, it's licensing related. And if my sources are correct, within the next 60 or so odd days another couple shows should be making their way on there. Whether people will like them, that's a personal opinion, but Hulu's not exactly in the business of trying to please everyone everytime.
