  good call dalailiam. One is even brought to believe that some american cosplayers ENJOY having horrible costumes based solely on the fact that they're getting the attention they want. Everyone loves a little Self-deprecation, no matter where ya come from :-p
  
  I joke with a buddy of mine in Japan that american cosplay is so bad because the incorporation of places to stash a cheeseburger ruins the outfit. heh

  It's common to find more folks of the asian persuasion pulling off more elaborate and impressive cosplay. Thems the cold and hard facts of it. Could be the cultures existing acceptance for cosplay?

  Is it just me, or is FLCL one of those impulse anime? See somethin that reminds you of it and BAM, "I need to watch that again". Never really get that urge with any other shows.
