  As for the dub debate, the dub for Macross Plus was actually very good. I have no doubt that a dub of Frontier would work out well.

  @confiscated nick, among other things. Of course gameplay is a huge factor, but character design and plot should matter. After all, it's part of why I originally loved SNK. Samurai Showdown and King of Fighters both had excellent character designs and plots for the most part. Unfortunately if they had spent as much time on gameplay, SNK as we knew it might still be around today.

  I'd say 75% of it sounds similar, but that's not exactly a bad thing considering it's all well produced--not overly produced, just properly produced--and matched with decent musicianship.

  I've found that it's healthier to maintain a wide variety of interests, so that I can communicate with people on a more personal level. Undoubtably they'll like at least one of the things I'm interested in, be it anime, games, music, film, or television. Naturally I ask probing questions during conversations in an attempt to get to know people better, but I wouldn't start a conversation with "Hey, so you need to see this episode of Naruto."
  
  It's gotten to the point where people who come over to my house realize that it's part of my job, so I don't really find it embarassing, on the other hand, I'm sure the countless wallscrolls and posters didn't do me any favors in high school. I didn't ever really need any favors, but again, I'm sure they didn't help. I actually used to rock the dragonball shirts back in the mid-90's, but I think I stopped when I realized that they're all kind of ugly. It's not that I don't want to be seen wearing anime related clothing--it's just that most of it really doesn't look fashionable.
  
  I do wear an Iron Chef t-shirt from time to time these days, but even then, I have to admit that it's probably the least attractive piece of clothing I own, or one of.

  Maybe you're thinking of the OVA. The second season aired in 2005. :)

  People either hate or love this series. From what I've seen, I wouldn't be surprised if it suffers the same fate as sayonara zetsubou sensei.
