  @Killkrazy: In all likelihood, that's exactly what's happening, and that's fine. I can understand the rebranding and the reasons behind it. But to throw the poor guy into the street is a bit harsh and arrogant, don't you think? Kind of like they're saying you're a bum if you don't want to pay up. I don't see why they couldn't let you keep a simple, basic room for him to live in with the free account, and still give paying users the fancy mansion. A vacant lot is kind of insulting, don't you think?

  Still pretty swank. If you play it a lot, the game hooks you up with tons of awesome stuff for free, and the items in the points store are actually cool.

  My newest toy is that Katamari thing. Toro takes it down and the little prince rolls the Katamari around on the floor and stuff. I guess now he'll be rolling it around outside in the dirt. :(

  You also have to keep in mind that it's GTA. The game makes fun of everyone and everything, and sometimes even itself. I think the folks at Rockstar probably know better. I see it as more of a parody of "what the mainstream thinks anime is" than a parody of actual anime.
