  The anime has been so horrible in quality since the fillers I just couldn't stand watching another ep. The manga is better by far, but man is it having some real explanation issues. Naruto is waaay to overpowered, resulting in overpowered bosses and really unbelievable scenes. He needs to calm down and focus his work so that it doesn't just devolve into a dbz power level thing. Over 9000 and all that.
  
  I disagree about sasuke. I think with him out of the picture Naruto himself has shown to be a weak character to follow. Mostly because of the love triangle thing disappearing.

  wow way to not put the plot twist that makes this story sooo much more interesting than other mech anime/manga into the description. As I was reading this I was waiting for something that describes how the robot is run, but nothing. I guess I won't spoil it (even though its a small plot point overall), but it is moody and dark.

  I agree with Dark completely, Manaka had so many women who totally wanted him and he never dipped his toes in to test the waters falling back on the old girlfriend instead of trying something new.

  I've never understood the undying love of FMP...I've seen the first two seasons and while the comedy of the odd couple is funny, its never felt like a really good anime. Its not a good comedy, its not a good mech anime, its not a good romance anime, its not a good war anime. So what is it?
  
  anywho, on topic. I probably posted a 7-8 paragraph response to the "Why Haruhi should be over" blog post, and then deleted it when I realized my rage typing was just one long post on how season 2 sucked. So I'm gonna rage type here instead.
  
  Haruhi is an open ended story that will never truly have a conclusion that anybody will be happy with. In that regard Season 1 can be the end all be all of Haruhi, much like season 34 can be.
  
  Season 2 was really bad though. Not for the endless eight alone mind you. The way the last episode was presented in quality and character depiction showcased everything wrong with the 13 episodes that came before it.
  
  The endless eight was a bad idea, and even if people say its true to the source material which I've heard people argue that, I don't think the author put out 8 books all nearly identical in presentation with the only differences being the clothing. Somebody made a really bad decision and they are actually being rewarded with decent sales from fanboys.
  
  Then with an amazing idea, they turn Haruhi into an all out bitch after everyone is annoyed with her because she is the cause of 8 endless episodes. She beats and berates a seemingly defenseless (more so than usual at least) Asahina through multiple episodes, she causes deadly laser beams to almost kill everyone, she then drugs Asahina and then forces Kyon to scold her (almost with his fists). My only issue with all of this isn't the fact that it happened, it was that I didn't go along with it and that is KyoAni's fault. The scenes were never directed with the potential that was showcased in the final episode where I had almost forgiven everything with how they showcased each of these characters. In that one ep, I felt like I had finally seen what this entire 14 episode long train wreck could have been. It left me optimistic for another season all while I disregarded everything that happened in the few months before.
  
  I can't wait for the Haruhi movie, but I'm no longer blinded by the potential. I'll let KyoAni attempt to blow me away instead of working myself up for it.

  Season 2 was bad only in the sense that Season 1 was great. If I had to judge the show on this one season, it would have been mediocre. And to be honest that might just be worse than being bad.

  I'm optimistic...but Haruhi season 2 is still fresh in my mind and its taste can not escape my mouth. Hopefully we won't have a bitchy Haruhi, cause I don't know if I could watch an hour+ of that (its Haruhi so I probably would, I just would leave in disgust as soon as the credits are over).

  I love how this article was entirely written about Senjougahara and Araragi when the entire approach of the show was how Senjougahara went out of his way to help multiple women. It plays as more of a harem anime than a romance one.
  
  the biggest issue this might face translation wise is the way they sexualized Mayoi and Sengoku, the two loli characters in the show. Sengoku could be played away but Mayoi couldn't. Its all about how Funi or whoever wants to represent itself during a translation. Its all harmless, but the impression is still there.

  god I hate the male version of Natsuru. if you're going to make a guy transform into a girl at least make the guy sound like a guy. See Birdy the Mighty if the concept is too hard to understand. It was a cute show, but with the 2nd season of Queen's Blade out I've got my fighting and fanservice more than covered.

  totally saw that first episode and I was very disappointed. I was really looking foward to this, but the animation for a first episode was probably the worst I've seen in a long time.
