There's only one way to have true inner balance in one's soul: show the soft, loving, and tender side of yourself with some innocent schoolgirl kimchi, and wash it down with your manly and GARish samurai beer. Oh what a combination that will be.
According to Akiba-Kid, the kimchi just has apples mixed in with it, something that's not normally a flavor I would include in the pickled cabbage dish. But, I'm not one to argue. Clearly, Japan knows what it's doing with kimchi. I mean, they certainly wouldn't release a product unless they were sure it'd taste good, right? Right?
If you're wondering, the girl on the cover of the package comes from The Place Where You Are (Kimi ga Iru Basho), a title in Weekly Shonen Magazine that started running in the middle of last year. I picked up the first chapter of it right before I left. Not much I can say about it besides the art was good and I wanted to keep reading, but then again, it's just a low-end highschool romance. Marketing for the win!
