First off, veoh has a high-quality version of this trailer, so I would recommend watching it there; but if you are lazy (like me) youtube will do just fine.
Continuing on with our theme of trailers this week, we have the American Kamen Rider Dragon Knight trailer. Now don’t leave yet, I know most of you do not like tokusatsu but give this trailer a shot, because it seems they listened to the fans and fixed all the sore spots the initial pilot episode flaunted.
The fist thing I noticed about this trailer are the new flashy special effects not present in the initial Japanese version. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the American one gets a release over there as well. I’m excited for this show, because we finally have a tokusatsu in America that isn’t just for kids or for Power Ranger fans. Though all we know about the release date so far is that it will be released some time in 2008; so that could be tomorrow, or in the Fall. I’m hoping tomorrow.

Maybe not for 5 and under, but I do agree it's for a older audience like 5 to 14 tops. Those American stunt actors must be veterans of the old power rangers shows, because they all have the "natural" Japanese style arm and head flaying about down pat. I find it amusing that they even have the product placing card of power-ups for the susceptible youth to waste some Adults hard earned cash on after the show ends.
I'm an old enough Tokusatsu fan to remember when the "first" American Kamen Rider aired, so I still feel a bit stung by previous mistakes (Ishinomori swore he'd never let them touch the series again, IIRC).
However, this DOES look good. As long as they take the source material seriously I will be content. Certainly Power Rangers hasn't done a good job of that since Dino Thunder/Abaranger.
I have more hope now than when I saw the initial trailer. We'll just have to wait and see.
