Fairy Tail animation licensing and merchandise updates
During Otakon this past weekend, FUNimation announced a whole bunch of license-related things, but of course for me the highlight was that 24 additional episodes of Fairy Tail are coming state-side along with the upcoming movie. It's pretty exciting news to know that the show is performing well enough to get more attention! And that's not where it ends. This weekend was also Summer Wonder Festival in Japan (Tomopop covered it), and Good Smile Company announced a 1/7-scale Lucy Heartfilia statue that looks fantastic so far. On top of that, it looks like Plue is being released in plush form to satisfy the hugging fiends. News like this has been a long time coming, but is trickling out bit by bit. If you're looking for a Natsu or Gajeel statue, Tsume-Art has you covered there, too. On a budget? Taito is going to tackle some prize figures.
