There is nothing better than a Gundam model that is well put together, airbrushed, and miraculously detailed. Wait, there is one thing that is better; custom colors. Can anyone tell me what is better than a Gundam with the Stars and Stripes across its gundanium alloy? Well, maybe a Gundam with a giant Canadian flag across its chest. (This is quickly turning into G Gundam.)
Here is a very small gallery showing off some of the great color modifications that fans put their Gundam models through. Making a custom-colored Gundam isn’t as easy as it looks. The first one I made (a red and black Deathscythe) turned out to be a sticky abortion of a Gundam; it was pretty pathetic. Good news is that none of the Gundam’s below are pathetic, so enjoy!
Ps. I know I’m going to hear about the Gundam Wing models that obviously share the same colors as their anime counterparts. However, these were created with the custom model line, which were featured in the Endless Waltz movie (i.e. Deathscythe Hell.)
[Update: The Gundam pictured above is actually named the Peace and Freedom Gundam, and was made by Funakatown. Check out his blog for more pictures and other awesome Gundam models]
