I'm not talking about the actual country. No, that place is dry and not Wi-Fi ready. What I'm talking about is Afuganisu-tan, the cute representation of the entire country. Awhile back, the great people of AnimeSuki translated a 4-koma comic strip called Afuganisu-tan, which is about the history of little Afuganisu-tan and her friends from around those parts. This story is supposed to educate and enlighten us history-less ruffians about Afghanistan's history, but it just makes me want to hug Afghanistan instead.

The story ran to its conclusion back in 2005, with a good 'nice boat' ending. But I think the story isn't finished quite yet. In fact, the creator of this comic has finished the Afghanistan arc. Why not make the whole world into "-tans" instead? That's a great idea. Get to work, Japan. But, for now, read the comic, which can be seen here.
