Welcome to Featured Fan Artist, a new feature where we, (not always me) will be discussing a fan artist that concentrates on drawing things within anime and manga. At this point I can’t tell you whether this will be a weekly post, a monthly one, or a daily one. But what I can tell you is that whenever a Featured Fan Artist post shows up, you can damn well bet it will be better than fried birthday cake on a surf board; which I can only assume is pretty damn tasty.

Now on to the first Featured Fan Artist, which is no other than the illustrator known as Yanimator or Kevin Yan in RL. First things first, he had to be the first one picked because it rhymes with Japanator, an obvious sign of greatness. His name is not the only thing that is epic, surprisingly, his art is pretty swell as well.

What I like about his art is the realistic way he draws anime characters, especially the bleach ones. I never knew Renji could look so human, which ultimately makes me feel sad for expecting his death in every episode. I think that any artist that adds his or her own flair to an anime or manga series is better than one that draws just a simple rehash; that is why I picked Yanimator.
