Finally, X-Japan to play LA on January 9th photo

I almost don't want to write about this, as if doing so might jinx it. BAM Marketing sent out a press release this afternoon simply stating "Mark your calenders! One night only!," followed by X-Japan, Hollywood, and 01-09-2010. Ladies and gentlemen, hell has officially frozen over.

With the countless cancellations and postponements, I keep thinking that it's simply too good to be true, but with such short notice I know that it's definitely going to happen. X-Japan is going to play its first US concert, and it's less then a month away. Needless to say, we'll be there.

Other than the announcement, the details are scarce, but I'm keeping myself glued to my inbox for any new details regarding the venue and prices. I have no doubt that the moment the tickets go on sale, they'll sell out relatively fast. If I recall, the first time Dir En Grey played at the Wiltern in LA, it didn't take very long, and I'm positive it'll be just the same for X-Japan.

Now all I have to do is pray that nothing ruins this for me in the next couple of weeks.

If it happens, it will be seen by me! :D
meh is right..
This is positively AWESOME.

I like how both meh-ers have "newb" avatars.
Right because your avatar make your opinion more or less valid . .. that sound like an insecure newb if I've ever heard one.
lol, sorry that i don't care enough to change my avatar. my bad. : |
@ Mr Ymmit, for someone with just 3 comments to their name you really shouldn't be throwing word like newb around ( http://www.japanator.com/elephant/profile.phtml?u=Mr+Ymmit ).
@Everyone
Sorry, really not what I meant.
First of all, newb is not really meant to be offensive, noob is. It's what the avatar said! I only meant that X-Japan is awesome, and this is great news. And you say meh. I really didn't mean anything bad by it, though, so sorry.
@ Mr Ymmit

I said Meh, because I don't feel like driving the 2 hours'ish from San Diego to go see em, they're just not that amazing (IMO) for me to be motivated to go see them.
Strike that
It's not my favorite band, but if you like ANY japanese rock bands, you need to respect X Japan for what they symbolize. Right, they are the responsible for visual kei, what I really hate, but they are one of the few VK bands that actually put some effort on their songs.

Also, I don't get the point in registering in a site about stuff you don't like just to say "meh". Does it make you feel superior in some way?
@Rank57 They're not responsible for Visual Kei, they just brought it into the spotlight. It was going on for a few years before they came around. They are, on the other hand responsible for the direction the Japanese Rock industry took post-1987, as well as having given opportunities many acts of that era, such as Luna Sea, Glay, Dir En Grey, etc. They also dominated the charts while they were at it. So yes, you're right, they deserve some respect. At the same time, I don't have a problem with people signing up just to say "meh," because for everyone one person who says that, there are a handful of people like you who actually care.
