HOLY CRAP, YOU GUYS.

Some really cool news came out of WonderCon 2014 for anime fans, in a place you might not expect: the Adventure Time panel. At the panel for the popular show, it was announced that Masaaki Yuasa would direct, write, and storyboard an Adventure Time episode, titled "Food Chain." Yes, that Yuasa (Ping Pong, Kaiba, Kick-Heart). According to reports from the panel, the episode was done with no outside supervision from the Adventure Time team, and was animated in Japan by Yuasa and Science Saru (thanks, Abel)!

Vulture received an exclusive clip of the episode, which gives you a pretty good idea of where it's going to go, stylistically. It's already a little more loose and dynamic than typical Adventure Time episodes! I haven't kept up with Adventure Time recently, but I'll definitely be checking this out. Oh, and for all the purists out there: no, this episode isn't canon.

Anyone else excited?
