Ain’t it Cool News recently posted a review of the Dragon Ball live-action film that was sent to them by a fan named DON. Yes, the movie isn’t even finished, yet we have our first review. Don states he saw a version of the film with unfinished sound effects, CG, music, and was about 95 minutes long. Here is a snippet of it:

Overall, I would give the movie a 6.5/10 simply because i was expecting disaster but it turned out better. The positives I mentioned coupled with some cool funny goku moments like eating a massive turkey etc. were hilarious. If only Master Roshi was perverted and Shenron was visible I would have given this 9 but ah well they messed up there. Hopefully they will fix shenron as they still have 5 months to movie's release but if not then well fuck you to fox and james wong. But in all seriousness I am glad it aint the disaster I thought it would be.

The thing is, I would love to believe FOX would give this opportunity to a lucky fan, but I highly doubt it. FOX knows the film is in deep poo poo with its fans, so why not try and spread something good about it? I believe this is a planted review; it talks positively about all things we might have some reservations about, like the fight scenes, green Piccolo, and Goku in general. The things it talks badly about we already know about, like missing Krillin, and Chow Yun Fan not being a short perverted guy.

DON states that if these problems were fixed then the film would receive a 9/10, but a normal, everyday Joe The Plumber would probably convince himself that these are small problems so the movie is in fact a 9/10 film. Even if this film review is a lie, it gives us a brief morsel of what this film is actually like. But then again, it could be entirely made up.
