Some companies have already begun to cash in on the event by offering products that could help people stay cool and conserve energy during the season's hottest days.
Last Wednesday, Triumph Lingerie unveiled "Super Cool Bra", an undergarment featuring cups with built-in ice packs modeled after little fish bowls. The ice-packs are filled a soft gel that remains soft even when frozen.
According to reports, the company has a history of showcasing novelty items that are never made available for public sale, so it's not entirely clear whether this miracle of modern science will be hitting stores any time soon.
