Everyone has been buzzing about this and that at the 2007 Tokyo Game Show and yet, no one, none of them, has mentioned this most majestic of games to ever grace it's hallowed, feted, sweaty balls. I mean halls.
I don't know what it is, really, but anything that gets Japanese girls in short skirts to mount a pole and ride has to be the most ingenious creation since Japanese girls in short skirts. It looks like, aside from the whole riding a broomstick thing, that there is also a massive touch screen that is used to draw runes, presumedly for the casting of spells.
All I know is that I'd like to shake the hand of BoingBoing for digging this up. Also, thanks to a BB reader for this rough translation of the Gizmodo.jp blurb:
Who is this witch that we see riding a broom? Sally? Or maybe Kiki's Delivery Service?
This broom shaped controller is a necessity for any witch. Made by Taiwan's Game Mega (Mega Net & Tech), it was made for "Parase Drunpe" arcade. Since this is still in development what we see here is just a prototype. If they can get a sponsor, maybe soon you'll be seeing it in an arcade near you?! Tomorrow we will post a video.
Yes, you heard correctly, there is a video of this girl riding a mechanical broomstick after the jump. That's OK, you can thank me after you've taken a shower. I'll wait.
