I just wanted to open up a discussion about the second season. I'm only four episodes in and I'm not sure how to feel about it. I adored the first season as it slowly built up the characters and then got insane near the end.

It feels odd to see Hei a complete jerk/alcoholic all the time. I'm not too keen on the sniper girl, but maybe I'll grow to like her.

I've watched through to episode eight. I felt similarly at the beginning but I'm starting to love it as much as the first season. And I love the recurrence of characters.

I like the fact that Hei isn't quite so perfect anymore. He's gone through some horrible experience thats only been eluded to so far and that's made him grizzled and disenchanted.

It's like seeing the changes in an old friend you haven't seen in years.

I've also watched the latest episode and it definitely does get better later on. I wasn't really feeling Suoh as a main character and I'm still not 100% sold on her but I'm going to continue watching it since there are only a few episodes left.

I still need to watch this, lol.
Sad thing is, I have it on my hard drive and I haven't touched it.

It started off pretty good, then I feel it slowed down a bit. But, as of last week's episode, its started to pick up again.

I just find it annoying to have Hei without powers. He is the Alpha and the Omega that can change matter at a sub-atomic level! They can't take that away from him! It like how they constantly neuter every character in Heroes once they get too powerful (Sylar, Hiro, Peter, etc..)(and I've already stopped watching Heroes, so don't give me flak for it :) )

I hope he gets his powers back and ends up with the hot cop-chick. I think it'd be too statuatory rapist of him if he ends up with Suou.

I agree, the series is finally starting to pick up speed. Hei is once more a badass and not a filthy alcoholic. Suoh is starting to rely more on Hei now, due to which Hei becomes the main character once more.

I need to get back to watching this. I was little put at first how the season started, but thanks to what you guys have said, it seems things will get better over time.
