so I like pretty much everyone else in the anime fandom flipped for Fullmetal Alchemist when it was first playing on Adult Swim, what's interesting thought is when I saw the first two episodes of the series, I wasn't sure whether I really liked the series or not, it didn't take long though for me to grabbed by the series and a "drinker of the koolaid"

I've been meaning to read the manga for YEARS now and I'm ashamed to admit that in my procrastination I have not read any of it yet

however lo and behold Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood comes along and it sticks closer to the manga, this is something that I honestly never expected to see, maybe I'm just pessimistic, but it seems like rarely does anime continue on after the first series ends

this brings me to a burning question though, I know the series is available on Hulu (among other places), but I was wondering if Funimation has any plans to dub it yet? after watching the first series on Adult Swim it'd be cool to see "you know who" return as Edward Elric

on a side note I'm going to have to kindly ask that everyone avoid spoilers please, thanks!

they do indeed intend to dub it and in fact they have already anounced the cast lineup. you can check it out here (http://www.funimation.com/f_index.cfm?page=news&start=6) toward the end of the page.

oh cool! good to see many of the cast members returning

I see that they replaced Alphonse though, that's a shame, but I'm sure Aaron Dismuke has deepened
