I'm trying to think of all the anime that would count as post-apocalyptic- Evangelion and Gurren Lagann come immediately to mind, but after that I'm drawing a blank. I have a feeling that I'm going to feel really dumb as soon as someone suggests other titles, but my brain is failing me at the moment.

Wouldn't Tegami Batchi fall under this list too? And while I haven't seen them, Last Exile and Kino's Journey?

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Wolf's Rain.

I know its not anime, but "Jericho" is a great show, and I consider it being part of the post-apocalyptic genre.

Trinity Blood is an after the end too, but sorta like far after the end.

Also, I'm ashamed to admit that I forgot Big O.

Seriously? I vaguely remember seeing some Big O way back in the day, it didn't strike me as post-apocalyptic, but maybe I just saw the wrong episode?

Haven't seen Tegami Batchi yet, for some reason I'm scared of it.

The whole show is about how Paradigm City is, to the people's knowledge, the only city that survived some great war, but how nobody remembers of what happened from before the war occurred.

Clearly, seeing one episode out of context did not give me a very good understanding of that series ><. Thanks.

They live in huge domes, because the outside is complete shit. Yeah, Big O counts. I can't believe I forgot about it.
