I was told to come here from TechnoPhile at Destructoid because they didn't take too kindly to my yuri thread. >_>'

So, yeah. I ain't as deep into anime as I am into games, but I wanna change that. The problem is that there are so many anime, and I try and purchase everything legally instead of downloading it. (-=-)

As you can probably tell, I like yuri/shoujo-ai. I want to be a game designer when I get older, and if possible, combine that with other forms of entertainment. I do a little cosplay on the side (Otakon 2010 I'm going as AWESOME FACE) and am impatiently waiting for Yotsuba to get an animated series.

My two favorite manga are Yotsuba and Jing: King of Bandits. My favorite anime is Azumanga Daioh, with Samurai Champloo an extremely close second.

I'm trying to get the soundtrack for Daioh. It's hard. ;_;

Well you entered at the right time, because, like on Destructoid, the staff just selected the best 50 anime of the decade (http://www.japanator.com/japanator-s-top-50-anime-of-the-decade-10-to-1-12913.phtml). Not sure if there's any yuri in there though. :L

As for buying anime, that's a commendable effort. One of my favourites, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, will never ever get licensed though so you might as well torrent that right now. Because everyone needs to see it. Again, it's not exactly yuri, but hey.

Didn't Azuma say he wanted a Yotsuba anime under no condition, because he did not believe an anime could capture the manga's feel? I don't think he was very pleased with the Azumanga anime either, to everyone's surprise. Might as well give up hope.

If you're not already familiar with it, check out Crunchyroll.com to watch anime for free legally- you have to be a member in order to see the newest episodes and certain stuff in the archives, but you can watch most of what's on the site with a free membership- although, if you find that you like the line-up, you might just want to fork over the $6.95 a month to become a member and be done with it.

I swear, Crunchy does NOT pay me to say these things -__-.
