Toradora spoilers for those of you who havn't seen it, obviously.

Now, don't get me wrong, I really liked the beginning and everything up until the running away part, but basically everything after that was just stupid. First off, why did they run away? Taiga had more of a reason because of what her mom wanted to do, but then why did Ryuji run away?

Secondly: Why did their friends support this? When they met up with them to talk about it, each and every one of them said it was a bad idea, but they still helped them do it.

Then, she leaves after everything had been resolved? Maybe it's just been too long since I watched the last episode, but that choice just seemed to make no sense.

The way I see some of you guys talk about Toradora as a whole I feel like I'm going crazy here when I think the ending totally ruined the show.

Even though their friends thought that it was a bad idea, they knew that Ryuji and Taiga both wholeheartedly believed in it, so they were going to do their utmost to support their friends. Sometimes, you just make those sacrifices for your friends.

And iirc, Ryuji ran away because he just got fed up with dealing with his mom, and wasn't going to leave Taiga alone.

But that's not how you support friends. You make sure your friends don't do stupid things if it's not good for them. If a friend of mine told me he wholeheartedly believed that running away from his life is the best idea for him, I'd definitely talk him out of it. I'd most definitely not give them money to help finance it. That's how you support your friends.

But that's not how you support friends.

Key word is 'you'. These friends decided to support their friends in another way. Different time, place, situation, etc.

It's fine you wouldnt react the same way; I love when anime brings out emotion like that. Just think of it simply as someone else's story.
