I'm looking for a good point and shoot camera for around $100($200 max). I plan on using it mostly for indoor shots so one thats good with low light and can handle good close-ups, like taking pics of figma or pvc figures that sort of thing. Any recommendations you guys have would be cool. My old digital camera is rather archaic these days and cant focus on things very well and the nice slr camera I got in high school is practically an antique since it uses film.

From my experience Aiptek makes good HD camcorders that are at a resonable price. The stills mine takes come out great. the video is pretty good, though the model I have runs at 30 fps so it lags a bit. It records audio decently and has different settings depending on the amount of light(cloudy, indoor, night, etc.)This is a newer model than I have so it is of higher quality. (http://www.aiptek.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=R-HDV21X&Category_Code=HDC&Store_Code=AS) you could probably pass with an older model depending on how much you want to spend and what you are using it for.
If you are looking for purely photo and no video, then Nikon has a nice selection but I'm not sure on prices.
Hope this helps you.

Another vote for a Cybershot. I think they do close up a bit better then distance though. I find it a handy little cam for all sorts of stuff... I got mine originally to take picts of settings on musical gear and really didn't hope for much but I take more picts of stuff now that I have it then I ever have... I think that has more to do with it be pocket sized then anything else though..
