so I figure we might as well get the obligatory Lucky Star thread out of the way

Lucky Star rocks, it's like a 10 megaton nuclear bomb of anime cuteness going off in your head, over two years later and people are still obsessed with the characters

when I first started watching the series and saw the legendary "chocolate cornet" I remember thinking "WTF?" I wasn't even sure I liked the series at first, but it didn't take long to get into the series' "slice of life" style

this is also one of the few series where I prefer it subtitled over dubbed, the dub isn't bad for what it is, but the original voices of the characters have become so iconic and the extreme "Japaneseness" of the show makes the dub pretty pointless

anyway my favorite characters are Akira Kogami and Nanako Kuroi (I'd marry her!)

Also the theme song is catchy, i still find my self humming it.

I honestly hate it, but if "catchy" means it's still playing in your head after two years... fair enough.

I'm utterly in love with Kagami, in case people hadn't noticed, and I still find myself able to sit down and watch the show with the same level of enjoyment. So, props to Lucky Star!

I've only watched a few episodes a long time ago. Recently I watched it from the beginning again at a con to pass the time. I feel compelled to watch the entire series finally.

I actually like parts of the dub. It's the first I ever heard the term "Pedos" used in an anime, which made me lawl pretty hard.

The only think I think the American release could have benefited from was the inclusion of the old-school translator notes.
