anyone ever read Franken Fran? it's a manga about about a cute Frankenstein girl who lives in a creepy mansion with a bunch of monsters (including a man who's a head on a cat's body, which is I assume a reference to Mar's Attacks) who conducts twisted experiments

it's a like combination of Tim Burton (the macabre style) George Romero (the gore) and The Twilight Zone (the twist endings)

be warned though, it's not for the faint of heart, the gore can get pretty gross

I particularly love the chapter "cockroaches" which is one big homage to Creepshow and it's fucking disgusting (but in a good way :P)

Wow this sounds brutal and bloody disgusting. I wonder if it's more hardcore(gore wise) than Reiko the Zombie Shop.

I read one chapter of this about a month ago and have to say that is pretty sweet. If the whole series continues on like it then the series is a great source of poetic justice, in a scale that I haven't seen very often.

I would like to make a Franken Fran costume for an Anime Convention next year. However, I'm at a loss as far as what to make her screws out of, especially if I want them to actually turn. Any ideas, please?

I can't say for sure, but I've seen a lot of Soul Eater cosplay with that one guy who has a screw in him. The better ones actually have it turn, too. So I'd take a shot searching for that in the cosplay forums and see how you can adapt it.

Franken Fran is probably the only manga I've really been into and didn't bore me. I also loved the gore and horror, and I was wondering if anyone knew any other manga similiar to it.
