Seiyuu, Say Me

A thread for VAs, but no love for seiyuu? Come on, guys :D

I like versatile seiyuu. I enjoyed Aya Hisakawa in Noir and Twelve Kingdoms, but it was her performance in Air that shot her to the top of my list. Jun Fukuyama impressed me when he played Lelouch in Code Geass - up until then I'd known him mainly as Watanuki from xxxHolic. And then there's Houko Kuwashima, who, among a whole bunch of other roles, pulled double duty in Gundam SEED(triple if you count the sequel), playing a couple of characters who couldn't have been any more different.

Kugimiya Rie and Fukuyama Jun are probably my favourites :) A lot of people get bored with Rie's voice but it always makes me happy whenever she unexpectedly crops up in an anime :P

Oh, but these two are overshadowed by the one and only Minoru Shiraishi. He is equal to a god you know.

I don't know too many seiyuu, but I would prbably say Chiwa Saito is my favorite. One thing I do particularly like is when seiyuu do the opening song of the anime (like for the opening of Bakemonogatari or Kimi ni Todoke).

I've been known to watch shows just for voice actors. I even sat through some of AIR for Paku Romi before giving up. Whether she's playing a male or female role, the timbre of her voice is just so smooth.

On the male side, I adore Seki Toshihiko (for basically the same reasons as Paku Romi).

I love Toyosaki Aki (Yui in K-ON! and Kana in Kanamemo). Her voice makes me happy just hearing it!
