so I stumbled upon this on the internet http://patrickmacias.blogs.com/er/2009/11/gekiga-jaws-herald-comic-1975-part-one.html

it's apparently either the Japanese version of the Jaws book with manga like illustrations or a straight up manga based on Jaws

the website doesn't say whether it's really from the 70's or if it's fanmade, but it certainly looks legit to me

anyway seeing a mangaized version of Jaws is really kickass, smile you son of a bitch!

Patrick tends to post odd manga from the 60s and 70s, so it's legit. I would assume it was a one-shot that was ran in some magazine. I wonder if it's possible to find a complete version of it over in Japan nowadays?

wow, that's awesome, I love how it's gorier than the movie, when the people get eaten by the shark their eyes pop out of their heads!

Awesome! Jaws is one of my favorite movies and seeing it in manga form is awesome. I think I'll go have a look at ebay and Amazon now to see what I can find.
